Where to Begin: Find An Agency

Find an accredited adoption agency in your city / state

International Adoption Resources (IAR) cannot emphasize strongly enough the importance of working with an accredited adoption agency. By working with an accredited adoption agency specializing in international adoption, prospective parents can be counseled by trained professionals who can guide you through the process with expertise and a proven track record of success.

Questions to ask a prospective adoption agency:

  1. Do they specialize in international adoption?
  2. If so, what countries?
  3. How long will it take to complete the home study?
  4. How many children did they place last year?
  5. What classes do they offer to prospective adoptive parents?
  6. What post-adoption services do they offer?
  7. Ask for three references (and contact all three)

The goal of International Adoption Resources (IAR) is to provide orphans in our global community with a brighter future by connecting them to prospective adoptive parent(s) empowered with informational and financial resources. IAR is not an adoption agency, but we work closely with US based international adoption agencies. IAR supports adoptive parents interested in providing homes to international orphaned children.
